PMDI

Usage

Monoisocyanate is an important intermediate in organic synthesis, which can be made into a series of carbamate insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, and also used to improve the water resistance of plastics, fabrics, leather, etc. The isocyanate with two functional groups and above can be used to synthesize a series of excellent polyurethane foam plastics, rubber, elastic fibers, coatings, adhesives, synthetic leather, artificial wood and so on.
Toluene Diisocyanate (TDI) is the product that is most widely used and has the largest production; Methylenediphenyl Diisocyanate (MDI).

Toluene diisocyanate (TDI) is a colorless liquid with strong pungent taste, boiling point 251 °C, specific gravity 1.22, when the light turns black, has a strong irritating effect on the skin, eyes, and can cause eczema and bronchial asthma, mainly used in polyurethane foam plastics, coatings, synthetic rubber, insulating paint, adhesives, etc. According to its composition, toluene diisocyanate is a nitrogenous organic compound.

Diphenyl methane diisocyanate (MDI) is divided into pure MDI and crude MDI. Pure MDI is a white solid at room temperature. When heated, it is irritating and smelly. The boiling point is 196 °C. According to its composition, pure diphenyl methane diisocyanate is also a nitrogenous organic compound.

There is also the non-yellow form of 1, 6-hexadiisocyanate (HDI).
